Intake
The intake for each year as per rules is 60 students for an academic year & 6 students under lateral entry scheme.
Discipline Minimum Academic Requirements :
The following academic requirements have to be satisfied in addition to the attendance requirements mentioned in item no.6.
A student shall be deemed to have satisfied the minimum academic requirements and earned the credits allotted to each theory or practical design or drawing subject or project if he secures not less than 35% of marks in the end examination and a minimum of 40% of marks in the sum total of the internal evaluation and end examination taken together. A student shall successfully complete all the I year subjects from 3 regular consecutive examinations of I year from the date of admission. If he has failed to do so he shall forfeit the seat in course and his seat shall stand cancelled.
A student shall be promoted from II to III year only if he fulfils the academic requirement of 56 credits from the consecutive regular and supplementary examinations of I year and from the regular examination of II year I semester irrespective of whether the candidate takes the examination or not.
A student shall be promoted from third year to fourth year only if he passes all the subjects of I year and fulfils the academic requirements of total 100 credits (including 56 credits of I year) from the examinations, 1. Two regular and Two supplementary examinations of I year. 2. Two regular and one supplementary examinations of II year I Semester. 3. One regular and one supplementary examinations of II year II Semester. 4. One regular III year I Semester examination.
A student shall earn all the 212 credits offered as indicated in the course structure. Students who fail to earn all the 212 credits offered as indicated in the course structure within eight academic years from the year of their admission shall forfeit their seat in the course and their seat in the course and their seat shall stand cancelled.

ADMISSION CRITERIA B.TECH. PROGRAMS Candidates for 75% of the seats in the case of B.Tech courses are allotted by the Govt of Andhra Pradesh. The students for these seats are selected by the Convener (EAMCET) based on their merit in EAMCET (Engineering, Agricultural, and Medical Common Entrance Test), a statewide entrance examination conducted by the Govt of A.P. The remaining 25% of the seats are filled up by the management with the Non-Resident / Resident Indian candidates based on the merit in the qualifying examination.

During his services in the Indian Army Col. Munshi servrd in several positions such as commanding Officer, Workshop Officer etc. During his tenure, he donned several responsibilities of senior managerial level. His job profile was of specialist workshop which included providing technical support in terms of repair, maintenance, overhaul inspection and disposal of Indian and foreign origin equipment such as Automobile, Generating Sets, Radio Sets, Instruments, Specialist Armoured vehicles, etc. On job he al so performed various functions as the advisor to the Fighting Force commander and other users on all the technical matters, management of Hot and Cold Ancillary units, Battery Charging and Maintenance shop, technical evolution of futuristic induction of equipment, quality control, budget and finance and contractual obligations. His administrative and managerial skills were highlighted when he executed the responsibility of general administration logistics and human resource management of complete work force with multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and multi-disciplinary background. He was also involved with the security of personnel, machine and materials during the warfare and also organized test exercises for ascertaining the desired level of fitness during the warfare.

Durgadas Munshi, a diligent and meticulous gentleman, with varied experience of 32 years in the prestigious Indian Army and over a decade experience in the field of teaching, has joined NIET as the dean recently. During his services in the Indian Army Col. Munshi servrd in several positions such as commanding Officer, Workshop Officer etc. During his tenure, he donned several responsibilities of senior managerial level. His job profile was of specialist workshop which included providing technical support in terms of repair, maintenance, overhaul inspection and disposal of Indian and foreign origin equipment such as Automobile, Generating Sets, Radio Sets, Instruments, Specialist Armoured vehicles, etc. On job he al so performed various functions as the advisor to the Fighting Force commander and other users on all the technical matters, management of Hot and Cold Ancillary units, Battery Charging and Maintenance shop, technical evolution of futuristic induction of equipment, quality control, budget and finance and contractual obligations. His administrative and managerial skills were highlighted when he executed the responsibility of general administration logistics and human resource management of complete work force with multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and multi-disciplinary background. He was also involved with the security of personnel, machine and materials during the warfare and also organized test exercises for ascertaining the desired level of fitness during the warfare.

He has recently joined NIET family bringing with him his vast experience of 13 years of industrial which also includes Research and Development and 11 years of teaching. The college started functioning from the academic year 1998-1999 after approval by AICTE and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU) Hyderabad with intake of 180 B.Tech. students in four branches of Engineering viz CSE, IT, ECE, EEE. NBKR Institute of Science & Technology offers a 4 year Undergraduate Programme in Engineering (B.Tech), The admission to the B.Tech courses, except NRI Quota, is through a State-Level Entrance Test called "Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test" (EAMCET) conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
75% seats are alloted by the Convenor, EAMCET (State Government Concerned ) . In this 75% all seats are of uniform fee.

The Institute has 20,538.08 sq. m of RCC built-up area housing various departments, laboratories, library, computer center, Ladies & Gents Hostel and other amenities. The Institute has a well equipped sports complex spread across an area of 14 acres. 53 independent houses have been constructed to house the staff on the campus. The Institute has an on-campus clinic with a resident doctor.

NBKR Institute of Science & Technology offers a 4 year Undergraduate Programme in Engineering (B.Tech), The admission to the B.Tech courses, except NRI Quota, is through a State-Level Entrance Test called "Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test" (EAMCET) conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
75% seats are alloted by the Convenor, EAMCET (State Government Concerned ) . In this 75% all seats are of uniform fee.
Remaining 25% are filled by Management of the college.
85% seats are reserved for local candidates.
Local Candidate Means :
Studied in a particular / Concerned University area for a consecutive period of 4 years preceding year of passing
15% seats are reserved for Non-Local Candidates.
Non-Local Candidate means:
