Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University Lucknow Admission

Rules for Admission:
All courses offered by University are Post Graduate and Admission to these courses are based on the merit obtained by the candidates entrance Examination conducted by the University.
Applicants seeking admission to more than one post-graduate course in the University have to submit separate application forms which are restricted to only two courses and take separate admission test for each course. Single application form for more than one course shall be summarily rejected.
For taking the admission test it is necessary that the candidates applying for admission to master's degree course must have passed the three year degree course from a University recognised by the University Grants Commission in 10+2+3 system of education.
Candidates who are due to appear in the final examination of the qualifying degree course of any University are eligible to appear in the admission test. They must enclose self-attested photocopies of mark sheet of the immediately preceding examination of the qualifying degree with the application form. Such candidates, if admitted, must submit the proof of passing qualifying examination within the given specified time failing which the admission shall stand cancelled.
The percentage of marks in qualifying examination shall be red without rounding off the percentage.
Mere appearing in the Admission Test does not entitle a candidate to claim eligibility for the admission in the course.
(a) Candidates shall have to appear in one paper for admission in the course. There shall be separate papers for different courses.The paper shall be of one hour duration and shall carry 100 marks. It will contain 50 objective type and 5 narrative type questions:-

(b) The standard of questions in these papers will generally correspond to that expected from graduates of a University. Areas for studies for various courses for admission tests are suggested in Appendix-XII as guidelines only.(c) Blind and Disabled candidates, with prior permission of the concerned University authorities, may bring their own writers whose maximum qualification should be Intermediate or 10+2 level.(d) The marks obtained by each candidate in the admission test would form his/her merit index. (e) The admission would be strictly in order of merit subject to the reservation of seats.(f) In case of equal marks in the admission test, the order of merit shall be decided on the basis of marks in the qualifying examinations.
Candidates against whom any disciplinary action has been taken at any stage in his/her earlier academic year shall not be admitted to any course in the university.
Enrolment of a student in any course of the university shall stand cancelled if he/she is held guilty of any cognizable offence. Enrollment may also be cancelled if his/her conduct is found by the proctorial board of the University to be at variance with that normally expected from a student of the University.
Important Instructions:
The handbook contains rules and regulations for admission to Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow. These rules and regulations are issued by the authority of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University Act and Statues, 1994 and the Academic Ordinances framed in accordance with provision thereof.
The booklet costs Rs. 300/- (Rs. 75/- for SC/ST) (non-refundable) which includes the fee for admission test also.
SC/ST candidates seeking admission should submit a self-attested photocopy of the SC/ST certificate issued by the competent authority. Such a certificate will not be accepted from any candidate after the last date of submission of the application from.
The result of the admission test will be displayed on the notice board of the University and will also be published in a few leading newspapers. Letters of admission will be issued to successful candidates.
If any selected candidate fails to deposit the first installment of University fees, on or before the date prescribed for the purpose, he/she will forfeit the claim for admission; and the resulting vacancy shall be filled up by the next candidate in order of merit on the waiting list.
All documents, photos etc. attached with the application form must be self-attested by the candidate.
All degree courses in the University are full-time courses and selected candidates would not be allowed to join any other full-time courses of study in this or any other University Institution.
Candidates are required to write on their application forms, (a) the code number of the course in which they are seeking admission, (b) the category to which they belong and (c) order of preference of admission test centres. These codes are as follows:

The preferential choice of centre for admission test given by the candidate is not binding on the University. The University reserves the right to allot any other centre for the test.
Each student is required to sign a declaration regarding discipline and conduct as per provisions of the Act & Statutes of the University.
If any candidate secures admission on the basis of fake declarations or as a result or any mistake, his/her admission shall be void abinitio, and the same will be cancelled as soon as the fact is detected. Action may also be taken against the defaulting candidates as per University rules.
The University reserve the right to change or modify the rules and regulations of the admission test and/or alter the number of seats allotted to each course of study.
On being selected for admission, the selected candidates shall have to submit the following documents in original on or before the last date prescribed for the purpose:
The mark sheet of the qualifying degree course for admission.
The character certificate from the Dean/Principal of the University/Institution last attended.
The migration certificate from the competent authority of the University/Institution last attended; and
The SC/ST certificate issued by the competent authority.
Schedule of Fees: The Schedule of fees is given.Attendance Requirements: All students enrolled in the various courses are required to have 75% attendance in theory and practicals (wherever applicable). The University reserves the right to disallow such candidate from appearing in the examination whose attendance falls short of the minimum prescribed.Examination Pattern: The University follows semester system for all the courses. Two year courses are divided into four semesters and three year course into six Semesters. A candidate is required to obtain a minimum of 40% marks out of the total marks allotted for each paper for passing.Note: For Ph.D. enrolment, the candidates should contact the concerned departments for getting application forms and other details.
