Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology is one of the premier Engineering Colleges in the Self-Financing category in Andhra Pradesh. MGIT is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. The institute has recently received accredition (Received accredition for 3 years for all 6 Bachelors Programs)status from National Board of Accredition, New Delhi.
The college offers instruction in 6 Undergraduate Programs (Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Mechatronics and Metallurgy & Materials Technology). Brilliant and Meritorious candidates are seeking admission in MGIT especially in ECE, EEE, CSE, IT through an annual competitive examnination called EAMCET. For the last three years, about 75 to 80% of our students provided with jobs through college placements cell. MANSAS, AN ABODE OF INTEGRATED LEARNING
To recall Emersonian axiom, an Institution is the length and shadow of a great man. The man was Dr. Pusapati Vijayaram Gajapathi Raju, (Dr. P.V.G) The Raja Saheb of Vizianagaram,and the institute is "Maharaj Alak Narayan Society of Arts & Sciences", popularly known as MANSAS, created by him on 12 th November, 1958 in the hallowed memory of his noble father. Dr. P.V.G.Raju was born on 2nd may 1924, at the Pool Bagh Palace in Vizianagaram. He was the eldest son of Maharaja Alak Narayana Gajapathi & Maharani Vidyavathi Devi. He believed in virtual obedience & was grown as prince amidst democratic socialists and a democratic socialist amidst princess. As a true socialist, he translated its lasting principles into actual practice. he always strived for the human cause and never flinched to sacrifice anything to attain it. As a part of his cherishment of establishing a Tribal University besides Engineering and Medical Colleges to make Vizianagaram, an epicenter of education, he elevated MANSAS to harbour 12 institutions imparting education in varying disciplines such as sciences, humanities, Education, Law, management etc. leveling from KG to P.G.

Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Vice Chairman MANSAS, Former Minister for Revenue and Rehabilitation, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, have been making efforts to realize the cherished dreams of their noble father by flowering MANSAS in to a Deemed University. As such the tree of MANSAS offshooted its another branch Maharaj Vijayaram Gajapathi Raj College of Engineering on 3rd November, 1997.

The Institute is making its strides towards realizing its objective of contributing to the nation the value-based technocrats through imparting education on pragmatic and ethical standpoint. The institute is refurbishing infrastructurally & instructionally with an orientation towards providing the students an opportunity to reach the world class academic standards as it is equipped with highly sophisticated state-of-the-art laboratories for all the existing courses. It has got accommodated its library in a spacious 12000 sft area with a holding of 24,025 volumes to tune of 60 lakhs besides 96 national & international journals/periodicals both technical & non-technical. A building of worth 40 lakhs is dedicated to the student activiy center that encompasses communication center.
The Institute is situated amidst lush green fields with a serene skyline at Vijayaram Nagar, Chintalavalasa, 5 km away from Vizianagaram Town. Vizianagaram is famous for its rich cultural heritage. the ancestral Fort which was once a symbol of sovereignty of Pusapatis now transformed into the citadel of Education & an abode of monumental MANSAS Trust that houses 13 educational institutions ranging from primary to post graduation in versatile disciplines like engineering, management, law, arts & sciences.

LABORATORIES : The Institute has 25 well-equipped laboratories, a Research and Development Computer Cell and a State of the Art Multimedia English Language Lab, the Oral Communications Skills Lab and Hardware Lab. In addition, Software for TOEFL, GRE, GMAT and IELTS, is procured for the benefit of the students.

2. Department of ECE having EDC Lab, PDC, E-Cad Lab, DSP Lab, Microprocessor Lab, Analog & Digital Commn. Lab and Microwave Engineering Lab.
3. Department of EEE is established with NT Lab,P-Spice Lab, Control Systems Lab, PDC Lab, Electrical Machines Lab, Power Systems Lab and Power Electronics Lab.

E-Classroom : An E-classroom is also established in the Institute with facility of online expert lecturers through KU band dish Antenna. A bank of learning material in the form of CD's in different disciplines of Engineering are available.
LIBRARY : A specious well-stocked library spread over 600 sqm. With a collection of 14000 books and 58 journals including 12 International journals besides 15 magazines and 6 newspapers is available. The management provides a book bank for economically poor students in addition to the integrated book bank for SC and ST students. All the transactions of the library have been automated.
A Digital library with 24 computers and Video conferencing facility through SONET is also provided for the students.
POWER SUPPLY : There are two generator sets with 20 KVA capacity, two-10 KV UPS, three-6 KV UPS and two-3 KV UPS to ensure power supply to the departments and library.
Canteen : Adequate and requisite canteen facilities are provided at the college premises. The spic and span canteen caters to the daily requirements of students right from popcorn to milkshakes, soft idlis to parathas
Hostels :MITS has separate hostel facility for boys and girls. All due facilities are adequately provided in hostels. Aqua guard water is supplied in the hostel for drinking purpose. The Institute is fully residential and hostel accommodation is provided to all students ( separate for men and women.) Every inmate of the hostel is provided with the necessary furniture and modern amenities.
Transport: The college is connected by RTC Buses ply from Kodad-Huzurnagar for every thirty minutes. The college having exclusive bus facility for the students and staff of the college from Kodad town.MITS is located centrally between Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Khammam. E-Classroom : An E-classroom is also established in the Institute with facility of online expert lecturers through KU band dish Antenna. A bank of learning material in the form of CD's in different disciplines of Engineering are available.
LIBRARY : A specious well-stocked library spread over 600 sqm. With a collection of 14000 books and 58 journals including 12 International journals besides 15 magazines and 6 newspapers is available. The management provides a book bank for economically poor students in addition to the integrated book bank for SC and ST students. All the transactions of the library have been automated.
A Digital library with 24 computers and Video conferencing facility through SONET is also provided for the students.
POWER SUPPLY : There are two generator sets with 20 KVA capacity, two-10 KV UPS, three-6 KV UPS and two-3 KV UPS to ensure power supply to the departments and library.
Canteen : Adequate and requisite canteen facilities are provided at the college premises. The spic and span canteen caters to the daily requirements of students right from popcorn to milkshakes, soft idlis to parathas
Hostels :MITS has separate hostel facility for boys and girls. All due facilities are adequately provided in hostels. Aqua guard water is supplied in the hostel for drinking purpose. The Institute is fully residential and hostel accommodation is provided to all students ( separate for men and women.) Every inmate of the hostel is provided with the necessary furniture and modern amenities.
Transport: The college is connected by RTC Buses ply from Kodad-Huzurnagar for every thirty minutes. The college having exclusive bus facility for the students and staff of the college from Kodad town.MITS is located centrally between Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Khammam. Is is 95 kms from Vijayawada, 170 kms from Hyderabad and 40 kms from Khammam. There are regular bus services between Kodad and Hyderabad, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Vijayawada, Khammam and other towns. A Brief Introduction
KLCE being a private college, is affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University. University specifies the syllabus of the subjects to be followed, schedule of end examinations, valuation of examinations, selection of members of teaching staff and guidelines for general administrative procedures. At present, the Institute has premises sprawling over 19.8 hectares (50 acres). The campus is about 5 km from Huzurabad and is located at midway on Waragnal-Karimnagar State Highway. Convener Seats
Among all the seats, 85% of the seats are filled up by the Convener, EAMCET-Admissions.
Any candidate passed in qualifying exam ( 10+2 ) or its equivalent in one sitting and shouldget the rank in EAMCET exam conducted by the State Government is eligible for admission under this category.
Management Seats
The remaining seats of 15% are called the Management Seats and are filled up by theManagement of the college.
Any student passed the Intermediate or its equivalent exam in II Division or 50% marksin optional subjects or on the basis of rank obtained in EAMCET exam conductedby the State government.
Lateral Entry Seats( Direct Admission in to Second Year of B.Tech )

KSRM College of Engineering (Kandula Srinivasa Reddy Memorial College of Engg) :
The college owes its existence to the keen interest of Late Kandula Obul Reddy to develop technical education in Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. With a view to translating his noble ideal of imparting technical education into reality, a Technical Training Institute at Vempalli, Kadapa District was started in 1979 under the aegis of Sri Kandula Obul Reddy charities. It is in the year 1980 that K.S.R.M. College of Engineering was established to perpetuate the memory of Late Sri. Srinivasa Reddy, youngest son of Late Sri Obul Reddy. Sri Srinivasa Reddy, a brilliantstudent of III year Mechanical Engineering at Delhi College of Engineering, New Delhi, met with his untimely death in a scooter accident on 18th Oct, 1979. The college was formally inaugurated on 14 November 1980 by Sri T. Anjaiah, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and it started functioning from the academic year 1980-81. Development The college had its modest beginnings in 1980 with an intake of 160 students with core branches – Civil, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communications and Mechanical Engineering. With the conserted efforts of the Management and the Principal, the departments have been strengthened year after year and the intake has steadily been increased to 570 by the year 2002. Keeping in view the latest trends, priorities and relevance in Engineering and Technology, the Board of Management decided to start Computer Science and Engineering in 1990 commemorating the decennial year of the college. A new branch Industrial & Production Engineering was started in 1997-98. At the dawn of new millennium, another fast emerging branch Information Technology was started. Later in the year 2002 another newer branch Instrumentation and Controls Engineering was started. Furthering its sphere of activity, the college started Post graduate programme in Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an intake of 30 in the year 1995-96. The intake has been gradually increased to 40 in the year 1998-99 and 60 in the year 2001-02. By the year 2004-05, the intake rose to 120. Another Post graduate course namely Master of Computer Applications (MCA) was started in 1999 with an intake of 30 and it has been increased to 60 in 2000. In the year 2004 the college has applied for M.Tech., programmes in Mechanical, Civil and Electrical Engineering where in Mechanical Engineering CAD/CAM has been sanctioned and the sanction of the other two are awaited.
