The Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering, a constituent college of Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, was established in the year 1959, with an intake of 40 in each of the conventional disciplines of Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering, leading to the Degree of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.). Subsequently new disciplines and courses have been introduced both at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, in tune with the changing needs and scenario in the field of technical education. I. Admission into the following programmes will be made on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. Candidates are required to bring the following certificates in original along with two sets of Xerox copies and three pass port and two stamp size photographs at the time ot counseling/admissions:

GAT-PGS 2009 test for the above programmes will be held at the following test centres:
Hyderabad, Rajahmundry, Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneswar.
Candidates who have opted for test centres other than the above will have to appear for the tests as mentioned in their respective Admit Card.

College Of Engineering, Andhra University, is a premier Institute of higher education in India, was established in 1926. Located on the uplands of Visakhapatnam, 'The City of Destiny', the natural beauty of the University campus is breathtaking, with the spread of serene blue shade of the 'Bay of Bengal' on one side of it and on the other, beautiful green Kailasagiri hill range. Sir Dr. C.R.Reddy was the founder Vice-Chancellor of the Andhra University.
Andhra University College of Engineering (Autonomous), Visakhapatnam, is the campus college of University. At the time of inception, was of only a Department of Engineering with Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering as the main branches. In the year 1960, the Department of Engineering was shifted to the present spacious North campus spreading over 150 acres of land. The Department of Chemical Technology, instituted in 1933, was also shifted to the same campus in 1962, adding strength to the Engineering Departments. The trifurcation of the University colleges in 1966, led to the inception of the College of Engineering (Autonomous) as a separate constituent of the Andhra University.
At present, the College of Engineering (Autonomous) consists of 12 Engineering and 4 Basic Sciences departments, totalling to 16 departments, offering 15 Under-Graduate Engineering day-time programmes and 4 UG Engineering part-time programmes; 28 Post-Graduate Engineering programmes, 1 MCA and 3 M.Sc. programmes in various departments. All the departments are also running Ph.D. programmes in different fields of research.
The AU College of Engineering (Autonomous) has acquired considerable reputation in the country and has several Centres of Excellence in various fields carrying out research in specialized areas. These include International Center for Bioinformatics, Advanced Center for Nano Technology, Center for Biotechnology and Center for Phase Equilibrium Thermodynamic in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Center for Energy Systems and Center for Condition monitoring & Vibration Diagnostics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Center for Remote Sensing and Information System in the Department of Geo Engineering and Centre for Research on Off-Shore Structures in the Department of Civil Engineering.
The AU College of Engineering (Autonomous) graded along with the Andhra University by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) and awarded a rating of A + (85%).
The Government of India through its National Policy of Education, implemented the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) for overall development of Technical Education in the country. The AU Autonomous College of Engineering is one of the four Lead Institutions selected in the state of Andhra Pradesh for World Bank Aid.

Admissions
Being a Christian Minority Institution,priority is given to the Christian minority candidates. Vacant seats, if any, will be given to non-minority applicants.
As per rules in vogue 75% of seats to minority candidates,25% to the management NRI and 10% to ECET candidates(into Second year) are earmarked.

In non-minority Counselling, first 15% of seats are open for Local and Non-Local Candidates.
Rest of the seats are for the preferably Local Candidates.
The Admission committee is the final authority to ascertain the validity of religion certificate.
Selected candidates should pay the full fee as prescibed by the state Govt.for the first year immediately in the form of a D.D. in favour of Christu Jyoti Institute Of Technology & Science payable at Jangaon.

CJITS has been offering computer science £ Engineering course with intake of 120 students the department has grown substantially since last years. We have well qualified and dedicated staff to lead the students to achieve academic excellence, Apart from this the main aim of department is to bring out graduates to cope with outside World.
Our Department is well equipment with the required infrastructure as per the AICTE norms. The eight computer Laboratories that we have well-equipped with the required infrastructure which is needed for the future IT Professionals.
A Separate high end Lab takes care of the needs of students doing Project Works. A Large number of students are taking up projects in Collaboration with the industries, which would keep them abreast of the latest developments in the field.
We have 280 Systems with high Configuration in eight Labs; we have two Hardware professionals to maintain these Labs.

With highly talented faculty, the department boasts of a unique mode of learning, one that uses advanced aids for teaching.
Under the able leadership of Mr.Pranay Kumar the department is making its progress in preparing highly competent human resources required by the industry. The Department is equipped with the state -of-art technology labs that suit changing IT

The department has being produced highly professional and competitive engineers by infusing greater quality and content into the curriculum and educating the students with appropriate skills suitable for a rapid changing industrial scenario.
Iam proud to say that our department is blessed with highly qualified skilled, dedicated and experienced faculty & supporting staff.
The faculty members are being nominated as incharges for various classes and laboratories of department.
Student feedback is obtained every semester and the faculty is informed about the performance for rectification of deficiencies and improvements.

DEPARTMENT OF HUMANITIES AND SCIENCESThe Humanities and Sciences Department comprises Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Management Studies and Environmental Studies.The standing and the firmness of a structure is decided by the strength of foundation laid. Similarly the applied and engineering sciences derive strength from basic sciences and their growth is decided by input given by basic sciences.Our Department is proud to have two doctorates and the other staff members are also involved in research programmes. It also consists of two laboratories, Engineering Physics laboratory and English language laboratory.The English language laboratory aims at training the students for various competitive exams such as GRE, TOFEL, GMAT etc., and also in group discussion, which is very much helpful during the interviews. Audio - visual aids & special software are being used to improve the communication skills of the students.
Presently, the 'Nano-Technology' has its wide applications. This Nano-Technology enables us to design the simple circuits rather than messedup complicated circuits. These are even made with ease of portability presently in the technical institutions. These are bought into the light and this is taught to the students. Similarly the applied and engineering sciences derive strength from basic sciences and their growth is decided by input given by basic sciences.Our Department is proud to have two doctorates and the other staff members are also involved in research programmes. It also consists of two laboratories, Engineering Physics laboratory and English language laboratory.The English language laboratory aims at training the students for various competitive exams such as GRE, TOFEL, GMAT etc., and also in group discussion, which is very much helpful during the interviews. Audio - visual aids & special software are being used to improve the communication skills of the students.
Presently, the 'Nano-Technology' has its wide applications. This Nano-Technology enables us to design the simple circuits rather than messedup complicated circuits. These are even made with ease of portability presently in the technical institutions. These are bought into the light and this is taught to the students. Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology is one of the premier Engineering Colleges in the self-financing category in Andhra Pradesh. It has been accredited twice in 1998 and again in 2004 by NBA(AICTE). It is also the first ISO 9001-2000 certified Engineering Institute of AP. The total constructed area is 4,45,467 sq. ft. worth about Rs 25..00 crores spread on 30 acres. The grants recieved from AICTE are worth about Rs. 1.3 crores. The college offers 9 UG and 7 PG coureses. Brilliant and meritorious candidates with 196 EAMCET rank onwards are seeking admission in CBIT especially in ECE, EEE, CSE, IT, Mechanical Engineering etc. The percentage has also been consistent with 95% on an average. Out of them, 80% of the students are passing either in distinction or in first class. For the last two years, about 75 to 80% of our students are provided with jobs through college placement cell.

VLSI Center
The college has a well established VLSI Design Lab with Software like Cadence Tools, Xilinx, Modelsim, Altera.
It has facilities to provide guidance to the students at Masters and Doctoral level.
Prof. RVB Chary, Director, Center for VLSI Design, has vast experience in the area of VLSI and worked as professor and head Depatment of ECE, OU for several years.
The College has entered into an MoU with Cadence Design Systems, Inc. to receive full-fledged VLSI EDA
We had the good opportunity of Prof. Magdy Bayoumi a Senior Professor, IEEE Fellow and Director for Centre of Advanced Computer Studies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, U.S.A., an authority in VLSI from 1970, visiting the Lab on 19-02-2006. He addressed the students and staff of the College. As a tribute for his authority in VLSI and a great satisfaction to CVR, the VLSI Lab is named now as ‘Prof. Magdy Bayoumi Centre for VLSI Design.

Sri Bonam Venkata Chalamayya comes from a reputed family from agriculturally rich town. He was a great visionary for striking balance between the rural agriculture and urban industry. The BVC Educational Society was registered on July 08, 1992 with registration number: 533 under the district registrar, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh.
In the year 1997 he established BVC Engineering College in a far and cornered peasantry of East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh at a place called Odalarevu. The response was overwhelming and the alumni have come-up bagging the best jobs in the industry.

The curriculum relies a great deal on industry academic interactions and responds to the current need of software technology.

Recognizing the overwhelming demand for education in computer engineering, the college started four year B.Tech. Degree course in Computer Science and Engineering in 2002 with an intake of 90 students with a lateral entry intake of 10%, with the objective of being responsive to needs of industries, the course goes beyond fulfilling the syllabus requirements of the University and offers students opportunities to work on different hardware and software platforms prevalent in industry. It Provides accessibility to the information on the latest trends and developments in information technology. The department has well qualified staff and well equipped laboratories.

BVC Engineering College which is situated in Amalapuram, India. Established in the year 1997 in sprawling 40 acres land surrounded by exhilarating nature away from the din of crowed habitation. The college has been offering high quality technical eduction.
The founder president of Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Educational Society, Late Sri Bonam Venkata Chalamayya garu was a Philonthraphist and Social Reformer hailing from an Agricultural family. He developed liking for Technical Education and a strong desire to provide such professional training to the youth of this region, a rural area mainly, and extend the same to all in general. This attitude of late Sri Chalamayya garu prompted him to invest all his life earnings in the establishment of an Engineering College.
After the sad demise of the founder President Sri Chalamayya Garu, his son Sri B.Kanakayya Garu, who is young and dynamic, is looking after the activities of B.V.C.Educational Society as its Secretary. The Principal
A young renowned educationist, with carrier spanning about two decades is serving the institution as a good academician and able administrator. Under his stewardship the institution crossed several milestones. He has several technical papers published in various national and international journals/conferences
The Institute
This institution was approved by the A.I.C.T.E.in 1997. It is affiliated to J.N.T.University, Hyderabad. The following five B.Tech., courses, each of four years duration, are presently offered at this institution with a total annual intake of 420. Further diploma holders are admitted directly into II B.Tech., through ECET to an extent of 10% of the approved intake in I year
Pre-requisite for getting admission into I B.Tech., course is a pass in 10+2 course and rank in the EAMCET conducted by the Government of A.P. Admissions into I B.Tech., courses are made by the Convenor, EAMCET purely based on EAMCET ranking and 80 percent of the seats are referred to as “Convenor seats”, the tuition fee in respect of whom is Rs.27500/- per annum. The remaining 20% seats are referred as NRI quota are allotted by the management based on the percentage of marks secured by a candidate in the 10+2 course and EAMCET ranking is not needed for candidates admitted under this category; but one should have secured a minimum of 60 percent either in the aggregate or in the group subjects in the 10+2 course. The students admitted under this category will have to pay a tuition fee of Rs.77,000/-. Diploma holders with a minimum of 60 percent of marks in Engineering subjects are also eligible for admission into I B.Tech course under NRI quota. All the students admitted into I B.Tech will have to pay an amount of Rs.1500/-, at the time of admission, the J.N.T.U. towards Infrastructure fee. This is one time payment for the four year course. Each student, at the time of joining the institution of class work, will also have to pay an amount of Rs.update soon/- towards the refundable Caution deposit, and other students activities.
Campus
The institution is located at Odalarevu about 20kms. from Amalapuram in East Godavari District and is far away from the din-bustle of township in a sprawling campus 40 acres surroundings by exhilarating nature with Casurina groves and coconut, cashew and other orchards. This pleasant environment, fresh and fragrant, calm and serene is obviously a desirable environment very much conducive for the youth to prosecute professional course and receive training in personality development. The ground water available over the entire campus is potable and is available in plenty. The cool breezes even during semester, owing its proximity sea coast, is enjoyable and makes the campus environment more pleasant.

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Engineering College was established in the year 1997. The B.Tech. (EEE) Program was duly approved by the AICTE and Government of Andhra Pradesh and affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad. 8 batches of students have been graduated so far.
Prof. J.V.G. Rama Rao, a dynamic personality with a vast teaching and academic experience is leading the department effectively since last five years. The founder president of Bonam Venkata Chalamayya Educational Society, Late Sri Bonam Venkata Chalamayya garu was a Philonthraphist and Social Reformer hailing from an Agricultural family. The Institute
This institution was approved by the A.I.C.T.E.in 1997. It is affiliated to J.N.T.University, Hyderabad. The following five B.Tech., courses, each of four years duration, are presently offered at this institution with a total annual intake of 420. Further diploma holders are admitted directly into II B.Tech., through ECET to an extent of 10% of the approved intake in I year
Pre-requisite for getting admission into I B.Tech., course is a pass in 10+2 course and rank in the EAMCET conducted by the Government of A.P. Admissions into I B.Tech., courses are made by the Convenor, EAMCET purely based on EAMCET ranking and 80 percent of the seats are referred to as “Convenor seats”, the tuition fee in respect of whom is Rs.27500/- per annum. The remaining 20% seats are referred as NRI quota are allotted by the management based on the percentage of marks secured by a candidate in the 10+2 course and EAMCET ranking is not needed for candidates admitted under this category; but one should have secured a minimum of 60 percent either in the aggregate or in the group subjects in the 10+2 course. The students admitted under this category will have to pay a tuition fee of Rs.77,000/-. Diploma holders with a minimum of 60 percent of marks in Engineering subjects are also eligible for admission into I B.Tech course under NRI quota. All the students admitted into I B.Tech will have to pay an amount of Rs.1500/-, at the time of admission, the J.N.T.U. towards Infrastructure fee. This is one time payment for the four year course. Each student, at the time of joining the institution of class work, will also have to pay an amount of Rs.update soon/- towards the refundable Caution deposit, and other students activities.
Campus
The institution is located at Odalarevu about 20kms. from Amalapuram in East Godavari District and is far away from the din-bustle of township in a sprawling campus 40 acres surroundings by exhilarating nature with Casurina groves and coconut, cashew and other orchards. This pleasant environment, fresh and fragrant, calm and serene is obviously a desirable environment very much conducive for the youth to prosecute professional course and receive training in personality development. The ground water available over the entire campus is potable and is available in plenty. The cool breezes even during semester, owing its proximity sea coast, is enjoyable and makes the campus environment more pleasant.

Number of students appeared / qualified in a GATE / CAT/ GRE / TOEFL / Central / State services through competitive examinations, more than 80% of our students are qualifying.

All the Alumni of the department are well placed in various professions. A good number of Students were selected in the Campus Interviews by leading companies like MPhasis, IBM, TCS, Satyam, Infosys, CTS, Converges, Accenture, Syntel, Vijay Electricals, Essar Transformers, A.P GENCO, A.P.TRANSCO, A.P.DISCOM, BHEL, NTPC, POWERICA, TATA POWER etc. Some of the Students are pursuing higher studies. (SEEED) is a students’ body for conducting career developing, interpersonal and intrapersonal skills of students. It organizes Seminars, Quiz Programmes, Industrial Visits, Paper Contests, Group Discussions, Guest Lectures, Career Guidance, Games etc under its auspices. SEEED also organizes Technical Exhibitions for benefit of local public.

The students are motivated and guided by the frequent expert lecturers in the department to display their technical skills. Students are allowed to participate in various co-curricular activities inside the college and inter institutional level with full privilege.
