Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT) is an Institute of repute in the state of Karnataka (founded by Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust in 1986). The institute offers nine B.E. degree programs in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science & Engg., Industrial Engineering & Management, Telecommunication, Information Science and Bio Technology and four Masters Programs in Computer Applications, Business Administration, Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Electronics.
The Institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and is accredited by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. Sir MVIT is an ISO 9001:2000 Certified Institution. Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering and Department of Biotechnology are declared R&D centers by the university.
Sir MVIT is situated on a vast campus of 133 acres on the Bellary road near Air Force station, Yelahanka, close to Bengaluru International Airport (21 km from Bangalore city station). The institute has 2800 students & over 260 well-experienced faculty members, fully equipped labs (including project labs), seminar halls (For each department adequately equipped with multimedia facilities).
With well qualified and motivated faculty, state-of-art laboratory facilities, well-equipped library and high speed Internet browsing center with connectivity and almost 100% placement, it is no wonder that the institute has been ranked No. 1 among the engineering colleges in the State by the reputed magazine `Dataquest’. All our departments spread over on 53.8 hectares of greenery and serenity, are well connected by optical fiber backbone network. The Institute has, on its campus, Men’s & Women’s hostels, 100 bed general hospital, Ladies amenities center, staff quarters, Guest house, Cafeteria, outdoor sports facility spread over 12.1 hectares and an indoor games complex. About COMED-K:
The association of engineering colleges of Karnataka conducts COMED-K for admission into various professional courses. The COMED_K is generally conducted during Feb/March and the notification will appear in all leading newspapers.
A merit list will be prepared based on the combined performance in PUC/XII std. and COMED-K
Seat matrix are announced indicating seats available in different colleges in different branches based on the sanctioned intake.
Admissions are made according to merit, subject to reservations to various categories.
Students called for counseling on a particular day will be announced on previous day in leading newspapers.
On the day of counseling, when his/her turn comes, he/she can choose the college and branch based on the vacancy position displayed online.
Students also get the opportunity to change the branch/college only once before the end of admission and this is final.

Requirements:
Minimum age for admission to First Year Degree is ordinarily 17 years.
The candidate should have passed Second Year PUC or XII Standard or 10+2 or equivalentexamination (Qualifying Examination) with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Electronics/Information Science/Biology as optional subjects and with English as one of the languages of study, and should have obtained at least 35% marks in the optional subjects.

Admission to MBA & MCA courses shall be open for the candidates who have passed the Bachelor degree examinations with not less than 50% of the marks in the aggregate of all the years of the degree examination. However in case of candidates from Karnataka belonging to SC/ST and category - I , the aggregate percentage of marks in qualifying examinations shall not less than 45 %. Provided that for admission to MCA the candidate shall have passed Bachelor degree with not less 50% of marks with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Computer Programming / Computer Applications / Business Mathematics / Business Statistics as one of the optional or electives at degree level. Provided further that in respect of candidate who has studied and passed one of the subjects specified in the first proviso in the Pre-University course with 50% of the marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission. However in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and Cat-I, 45% of marks in that subject shall be considered for admission. The candidates applying for part-time course in MBA must have worked for not less than three years in an establishment and must be working in an organization within a radial distance of 40 KMS from the institution in which the candidate seeks admission.

Siddaganga Institute Of Technology,TUMKUR
The Siddaganga Institute of Technology (SIT), Tumkur, is one among the 130+ educational institutions run by the Sri Siddaganga Educational Society. It was established in the year 1963 starting with three Courses leading to Bachelor of Engineering in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and is now offering undergraduate degree courses in 12 disciplines. In addition it also runs post-graduates programmes in 7 disciplines, including MBA and MCA Courses. It has nearly 4000 students pursuing the above courses with a faculty strength of about 273. The Institute is Affiliated to Visveswaraya Technological University, Belgaum and has granted permanent affiliation to SIT.
The Institute is one of the 14 Engineering Colleges under the Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) a World Bank Project, administered by the Government of Karnataka in the state and is granted Academic Autonomy from the Year 2007-08. From the academic year 2007-08 the 1st Semester is run under the autonomous status. Its undergraduate courses are Accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), an Autonomous body of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
The Institute is spread over 65 Acres with greenery all over, and has a sprawling play ground for indoor and outdoor games like, Football, Hockey, Cricket and Basketball. It has 8 Hostels that accommodate nearly 2000 students.
The Sri Siddaganga Educational Society (SSES), Tumkur, the parent body of the SIT, is also running more than 130 Educational Institutions in Karnataka, and Revered His Holiness Dr. Sree Sree Sivakumara Swamiji of Sree Siddaganga Mutt, is its President and Sree Sree Siddalinga Swamiji, is the Vice President of SESS and the Junior Swamiji of the Mutt.

Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru Institute of Technology is established by the religious Organization namely, Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru Brihanmath, which is well-known in Karnataka for its yeoman service in the field of rural education. History of the Brihanmath:
Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru Brihanmath, Sirigere is situated in Chitradurga Dist and is having a very large number of followers. It was founded by saint "Marulasiddha" during 12th century AD. The saint Marulasiddha blessed his successor with the divine words "Tarala ! Balu !" (Long Live! My Lord!) and that is how the pontiffs of this sacred seat are came to be known as "Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru". True to the spirit of the blessings of their founder, the pontiffs of this Brihanmath have been rendering yeoman service for the upliftment of the society for the last eight centuries.
The present pontiff of the Brihanmath is Dr. Shivamurthy Shivacharya Mahaswamiji who succeeded to this religious seat in the year 1979. The swamiji is an eminent Sanskrit scholar with Ph.D from Banaras Hindu University. His Holiness is also the President of the Education Society. Treading the path of his predecessor, the Swamiji has been relentlessly striving for the upliftment of the rural poor and the downtrodden.
The role of technology in the development of a country is well known. It is the content and quality of technical education that ensures the availability of technology in the country. When the whole world is emerging as a global village, it is technological edge of a country that enables it to survive in this competitive world. It is only institutions having enlightened management and qualified, dedicated faculty that could ensure the availability of technical personnel to meet the needs of a country.
It is against this back drop His Holiness Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru Dr. Shivamurthy Shivacharya Mahaswamiji, had established Sri Tarabalu Jagadguru Institute of Technology at Ranebennur in the year 1980.

The Organisation, The Adichunchanagiri Maha Samsthana Mutt, with its roots firmly embedded in the folds of time (about 1500 yrs) SPACE AND RELIGION (on a rocky hill about 100 kms west of Bangalore City) has been working towards the betterment of human life and society.
Following the 'Guru - Shishya' tradition, the mutt has been striving hard to elevate mankind slowly but steadily.
The mutt's development activities of social service gained an accelarated momentum in the form of the present Pontiff, Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji, 71st in the holy lineage, who ascended the revered seat in 1974. Under his stewardship, the Mutt galvanised its activities of social service through education of the people, spreading far and wide, and to every nook and corner of the State. With its headquarters in Bangalore, the Mutt now has one Medical College, Two Engineering Colleges, Polytechnics, Degree Colleges etc.,

RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ADMISSION :-
Admission to 4 years B.E.degree course is open to the students who have passed 10+2 scheme of education or its equivalent examination with minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The application forms and prospectus can be obtained in person or by post at the following address on payment of prescribed fee.
Foreign students are also admitted to the B.E. courses. They must hold a valid VISA. The fees for the entire course is to be paid in US Dollars as stipulated by orders of the Government of Karnataka and the Supereme Court of India. Any revision in the fees will be legally bound.

The Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST) was founded in the year 1940. The mission of the founder was to 'Impart Quality Education to all sections of the Society'. Sri M.C.Shivananda Sarma, an educationalist and Sri Meda Kasturi Ranga Setty, a businessman, philanthropist joined hands together to pull this movement forward. The Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST) was founded in the year 1940. The mission of the founder was to 'Impart Quality Education to all sections of the Society'. The Veerasaiva Vidyavardhaka Sangha is a philanthropic society was established in 1916 (Regd.1918) with a view to focus on providing Education to all strata of the society in the rural areas of Bellary and its surrounding districts. This crusade against illiteracy and ignorance has now achived epic proportion. The Sangha today runs 29 educational institutions in Bellary, Koppal and Davanagere districts, covering primary education to post graduation courses in Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering and Management. It aims to carry on the good works in the years to come.

Hospet city is situated 100 kms from Guntakal junction and 310 kms from Bangalore. The famous world Heritage Centre of Vijayanagar Empire HAMPI is situated at 10 kms from HOSPET & Tunga Bhadra Dam which is major irrigation project of India & also a tourist center, situated just 4 kms from Hospet City. P.E.S College Of Engineering,Mandya
P.E.S. College of Engineering, Mandya is one of the pioneer Engineering Colleges in India. It is affilliated to the University of Mysore and is recognised by the All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. It is an institution functioning under the grant-in-aid scheme of Government of Karnatka. The College was established in the year 1962 by People's Education Society currently known as People's Education Trust (R), with the help of philanthropic farmers of Mandya District. The sole objective of the college was to promote Technical Education among the students of Rural Areas. The Society was founded by late Sri K.V. Shankaregowda, former Education Minister of Government of Karnataka. He was a person with a missionary zeal and long cherised ambition to promote and disseminate knowledge, serving generally the cause of Education.
P.E.S. College of Engineering was established on an expance of 62 Acres with only three branches of Engineering viz., Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. In 1971 the Electronics and Communication branch was commenced. Automobile Engineering and Industrial and production Engineering branches were started in 1980. In 1983 the branch of Computer Science was started and that of Environmental Engineering in the year 1987. In addition to the above 8 branches in undergraduate Engineering, the Institute also offers Post Graduate Courses, Master of Technology in Environmental Engineering, Master of Computer Application and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Computing.
Each branch of Engineering has a seperate building and well equipped Laboratories to impart meaningful training to the students in recent developments in Technology. College has well maintained Hostels, Two for Boys and one for Girls for providing Boarding and Lodging facilities for about 600 students. The College has an open Air Theatre in the Campus to promote cultural Activities.
THE MANAGEMENT
The Institution is being well managed by a Governing Council with members drawn from University of Mysore, Government of Karnatka, Government of India and all India Council for Technical Education, as per statutory requirement. Presently, Sri H. D. Chowdaiah, MLC who is the Chairman of the People's Education Trust, which manages 6 Education Institutions, is the chairman of Governing Council of the College. Sri K. S. Sachidananda, MLC the Secretary of People's Education Trust, and Sri. H. Honnappa, M.L.C. Jt. Secretary, People's Education Trust (R), are also the members of the Governing Council.

Location Every visitor to NMAMIT is warmely welcomed by the picturesque campus situated at the foot of the westren ghats at a distance of about 55 kms. from Mangalore. The various departments, laboratories,and Hostels are spread out in a vast 100 acre campus that is gifted with an atmosphere that is conducive for technical education.
Hostel Info Hostel facility is available in the campus for outstation students - separately for boys and girls, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian mess.
Room is provided on sharing basis. The hostels also provided with recreational facilities like library, television, and sports. Stand-by generators are provided in all hostels.
Each hosteller is provided with a cot, a table, a chair and a wardrobe.

Sports:
A department of physical education with good infrastructure for the purpose is available at the college. The campus has a spectacular indoor stadium wherein games such as Basketball, Badminton, Table Tennis can be played and enjoyed.
Canteen:
The canteen in the campus caters to the requirements of the students and staff.
Medical Schene:
The students are covered by the "Medicare" scheme which entitle them for medical care and treatment at Justice K.S.Hegde Charitable Hospital at Deralakatte.

Understanding this national agenda and recognizing the importance of imparting good quality education Nagarjuna Education Society (NES) was established in 1995 under the able guidance of Sri J.V.Rangaraju, leading industrialist and philanthropist. His commitment towards contribution to nation building is being achieved by imparting world-class education at all levels, viz. from primary to post-graduate.
Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology (NCET), a flagship institution under NES, is an outcome of Mrs. Shridevi J. Rangaraju far-sighted vision. The Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology is strategically located on the Bangalore-Hyderabad National Highway, a road that falls on the Golden quadrangle. Its proximity to the International airport at Bangalore gives it strategic location and commutability. We have lush green campus spread of 72 acres with on-campus residence for boys and girls separately. These hostels have amenities like mess, recreation room and state of art Gymnasium etc. Students are encouraged to actively participate in outdoor games as well.
