During his services in the Indian Army Col. Munshi servrd in several positions such as commanding Officer, Workshop Officer etc. During his tenure, he donned several responsibilities of senior managerial level. His job profile was of specialist workshop which included providing technical support in terms of repair, maintenance, overhaul inspection and disposal of Indian and foreign origin equipment such as Automobile, Generating Sets, Radio Sets, Instruments, Specialist Armoured vehicles, etc. On job he al so performed various functions as the advisor to the Fighting Force commander and other users on all the technical matters, management of Hot and Cold Ancillary units, Battery Charging and Maintenance shop, technical evolution of futuristic induction of equipment, quality control, budget and finance and contractual obligations. His administrative and managerial skills were highlighted when he executed the responsibility of general administration logistics and human resource management of complete work force with multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and multi-disciplinary background. He was also involved with the security of personnel, machine and materials during the warfare and also organized test exercises for ascertaining the desired level of fitness during the warfare.

Dr. Shaik Abdul Muzeer is a sound academician and a conscientious gentleman. He has recently joined NIET family bringing with him his vast experience of 13 years of industrial which also includes Research and Development and 11 years of teaching. Nimra Educational Society (NES), a Muslim Minority body established in 1991 under Article 30(1) of the Constitution of India is registered under the Andhra Pradesh Public Societies Registration Act of 1350 Fasli (Act 1 of 1350 Fasli) with Registration No. 3663.
NES is established with a view to promote general, technical, medical and other professional/scientific education among the upcoming generations regardless of their caste, creed and community but with a special focus on the Muslim Minorities. Internal Assessment Marks/Sessional Marks
The internal assessment marks in a theory subject shall be based on two tests conducted during each semester on the dates prescribed by the college.
Eligility for Passing
For a pass in a subject, a candidate should secure a minimum of 35% of the marks prescribed for a subject in the University examination (theory,drawing) and 40% of the marks prescribed for a practical, project work, and viva voce. However, the average including internal marks shall be 50%.

The college started functioning from the academic year 1998-1999 after approval by AICTE and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technical University (JNTU) Hyderabad with intake of 180 B.Tech. students in four branches of Engineering viz CSE, IT, ECE, EEE. The sanctioned intake has progressively increased to 483 in 2002-2003 over five branches of engineering, the fifth branch being Mechanical Engineering. The intake also includes 60 Post Graduate students of MCA and lateral entry of Diploma students in the second year B.Tech. courses. A sixth course of Instrumentation and Control Engineering with in take of 60 students is also sanctioned from the academic year 2003-2004. The courses offered presently are summarized below.

NBKR Institute of Science & Technology offers a 4 year Undergraduate Programme in Engineering (B.Tech), The admission to the B.Tech courses, except NRI Quota, is through a State-Level Entrance Test called "Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test" (EAMCET) conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
75% seats are alloted by the Convenor, EAMCET (State Government Concerned ) . In this 75% all seats are of uniform fee.
Remaining 25% are filled by Management of the college.
85% seats are reserved for local candidates.
Local Candidate Means :
Studied in a particular / Concerned University area for a consecutive period of 4 years preceding year of passing
15% seats are reserved for Non-Local Candidates.
Non-Local Candidate means:
Residing other than concerned university area.
Not studying consecutively for four years.
Less than seven years stay.
If a candidate has studied in other state but his/her parent are domicile of the state /University area concerned (minimum of 10 years stay).
For Management quota seats:
Admission Notification is published by the college in almost all dailies of the state.

Over the years it has grown from strength to strength and is a premier technical institute in Andhra Pradesh. The total student strength at present is over 2300. There are 124 well-qualified faculty and 146 skilled supporting staff. After completing two decades of excellent service in Technical Education, the college has celebrated its Silver Jubilee year in Feb. 2007.
The College Offers BE 4-Year Degree Courses in Civil, Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Information Technology, Mechanical and Production disciplines. The current annual intake is 570 students. The courses are affiliated to Osmania University and are approved by AICTE.
Diploma holders join into II year under 10% supernumerary quota as Lateral Entry through Convener, ECET.
The BE programmes of Civil, Computer Science, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering have been accredited by the NBA of AICTE in September 2007 for a period of 3 years.
The postgraduate course M.E.(production) has been started in 2005, with affiliation to Osmania University with a permitted intake of 18.
