Applications are invited for admission to the Model Industrial Training Institute, Choudwar, Cuttack, Orissa-754025 for the session commencing from September 2008 in the "Mechanical Group of Trades Under Restructured Pattern of Craftsmen Training Scheme"
The training under this pattern is organized on a Broad Based Basic Training in eight minor trades (Turning, Basic Fitting, Milling, Shaping Slotting & Planning, Grinding, Welding, Basic Electricity & Sheet Metai Works) during the first year followed by training in two major modules (Fitting General and Metrology & Engineering Inspection) during the second year. 1. Qualification:
Passed Matriculation (10th standard) or equivalent examination with Science (Physics + Chemistry) and Mathematics.
2. Age:
Between 14 to 40 years as on 1st August' 2007. Age is relaxable for SC/ST/PH/Ex-Serviceman and their wards as per Govt, of India rules.
3. Reservation:
Seats are reserved for SC/ST/PH/Ex-Serviceman and their wards as per Govt, of India rules.4. Stipend & Scholarship:
Poverty-cum-Merit stipend of Rs.100/- per month is given to 25% of trainees and Merit scholarship of Rs.125/- per month is awarded to 4% of trainees as per Govt, of India rules.5. How to obtain application form:
The applicant may obtain prescribed application form in his own name from the office of the Principal, Model Industrial Training Institute, Choudwar, Cuttack-754025 on payment of Rs.25/- in cash or by sending an uncrossed Indian Postal Order of Rs.25/- drawn in favour of D.D.O. MITI, Choudwar payable at Chodwar post office along with a self addressed envelope 10 x 23 cm. size with Rs.5/-postage stamp affixed on it.
6. Submission of Application form:
Another Rs.50/- towards registration fee is to be deposited along with the application form either by cash or by uncrossed Indian Postal Order in favour of the D.D.O., MITI, Choudwar payable at Chaudwar post office.
7. Last date for receipt of applications:
21 days from the date of publication of this Admission Notice.

Principal of the institute reserves the right to discontinue or alter any trade at his discretion without assigning any reason.
Applications without copies of certificates/documents and not duly filled in applications will be rejected without assigning any reason.
