Kamala Institute of Technology & Science, Singapur

In pursuance with the policies of the Government of India to start Engineering colleges in emerging technologies in rural areas, Kamala Institute of Technology and Science (K.I.T.S) was established at Singapur, Huzurabad (mandal) Karimnagar (Dist.) - 505 468 in Andhra Pradesh state, India during the academic year 1997-98. Vidvaan Sarvatra Pujyante forms the guiding spirit and motto of the Institute.

At present, the Institute has premises sprawling over 19.8 hectares (50 acres). The campus is about 5 km from Huzurabad and is located at midway on Waragnal-Karimnagar State Highway. The campus has well established roads bordered by high grown trees. Wide lawns and beautiful rose gardens are developed which enhance the aesthetic charm of the campus.
The Institute provides hostel facility for both boys and girls. The college is having a sophisticated Indoor Stadium with Gym facility and a well organized playground for the all round development of students. Quarters are also built inside the campus for staff members.
The college is also bestowed with the Temple of Lord Balaji ( Sri Venkateshwara Swami ).

Convener Seats


Among all the seats, 85% of the seats are filled up by the Convener, EAMCET-Admissions.
Any candidate passed in qualifying exam ( 10+2 ) or its equivalent in one sitting and shouldget the rank in EAMCET exam conducted by the State Government is eligible for admission under this category.
Management Seats

The remaining seats of 15% are called the Management Seats and are filled up by theManagement of the college.
Any student passed the Intermediate or its equivalent exam in II Division or 50% marksin optional subjects or on the basis of rank obtained in EAMCET exam conductedby the State government.
Lateral Entry Seats( Direct Admission in to Second Year of B.Tech )


A separate set of seats are filled by the way of direct admission into Second year ofB.Tech course and are called Lateral Entry Seats.
Any student passing 3-year Diploma course ( through Polytechnic ) or its equivalent and have obtained a good rank in ECET exam is eligible under this category.
Admission procedure


A student should qualify admission test known as EAMCET in order to get admissions in B.Tech

Criteria and Weightages for admission

100% weightage for admission test
should be qualified in 10+2 public exams based on merit.
Minimum qualifying marks in the admission test is prescribed by Govt of A.P.
