Prasad V. Potluri Siddhartha Institute Of Technology, established in 1998 at Vijayawada, is one of the thirteen educational institutions sponsored and run by Siddhartha Academy Of General And Technical Education, Vijayawada. The members of the academy are more than 200. The office bearers of the academy are elected from among them. The members are a group of well-knit industrialists, educationists, auditors and philanthropists with a vast experience in their respective fields. These institutions reflect their vision and foresight in the emerging disciplines of technological education. P.V.P.S.I.T, thus, has the advantage of inheriting high standards in education established by the long standing Academy. P.V.P.S.I.T was approved by All India Council Of Technical Education, and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
P.V.P.S.I.T is Located in Vijayawada, the second largest city in Andhra Pradesh. Vijayawada is the hub of educational activity in the state. There exist sixteen degree colleges, one Health University and a large number of junior colleges. In addition, all the leading computer software companies have established their training institutes in Vijayawada, which help the students to learn special computer skills via informal education. Any inquisitive student thus gets ample scope to have sound view of inter disciplinary knowledge.

The emerging Technology continuously replaces the existing Technology. Building : The building of Siddhartha Institute of Technology is a 3-storied monolithic closed RCC structure. The present intake occupies only 75% of the building. There is enough unoccupied space for future expansion. The diesel power generator and IC Engine labaratory are accommodated in a seperate RCC structure in an area of 250 sq.m.
