About the College
Ongole, a town and the head quarters of Prakasam District in Andhra Pradesh, is well known for all the portals for its cultural, historical, political and sociological movements. It contributed its own might by producing eminent personalities in all walks of life. Though a backward district in some aspects, Ongole is well known among the academic circles for its progress and achievements in the field of education . keeping up the tradition and to initiate the town into technical sphere, Sri Satyanarayana Engineering College (SSN) sprouted in 1998. Sri Sainadha Educational Society Sponsored this college with ideal of bringing Technical Education to the door steps of the people of Ongole and to promote the development of this region in the State. Presently the society is run by Sri M.Venkata Rao Naidu , a Business Tycoon in Ongole and Dr. N.Malakondaiah Naidu M.S.,Ph.D., an outstanding personality, an NRI holding higher position in General Motors , USA .
The College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E), New Delhi and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Hyderabad . Recently the college is renamed as RAO & NAIDU ENGINEERING COLLEGE . From its inception, the college started flourishing in all aspects. Though the college started functioning in 1998 in temporary (hired) buildings at Bhagya Nagar II lane, by 2002 January it was shifted to it’s permanent campus near NH-5 South By-Pass Road Junction, Ongole. The multistoried, magnificent buildings amidst panoramic scenic beauty all around added glamour to the college. The National High way No 5 on one side and the grand Railway Line on the other side heighten the glory of the college by appearing to all types of travellers spreading its excellence to nook and corners.
