Sarada Institute of Science, Technology and management started in Srikakulam during the year 1998 with the engineering degree courses viz., CSE, ECE, EEE & Mech. and another course viz., CSIT added during 2001.The intake in each course is 60 and a total of 300 intake altogether.
Srikakulam is the border district of Andhra Pradesh located in the north side of Andhra Pradesh. This district is identified as industrially backward area and people depend mainly on Agriculture.
Now some pharmaceutical industries are coming up in and around Srikakulam. Srikakulam is situated 90 km from the industrial city Visakhapatnam connected with NH5.
Ever since the institute started, it is growing fast and a remarkable development is there in buildings and lab facilities. The results of the students are quite encouraging. The passed out students are getting placements in the reputed organizations.
The college offers five Engineering Courses at graduate level.
