Our Vision as a technical institution is to provide sophisticated Engineering education, purposeful research and sound personality building to help suitable application of technology to mould young men and women into professionals.
Objective
The desire to spread technical education to the rural masses of Andhra Pradesh in particular in the name of the great apostle and an embodiment of peace Late Mother Theressa to whom this institute is dedicated.
Genesis
St. Theressa Institute of Engineering and Technology is sponsored by Mother Theressa Societies Act (Regd No 6190) established in the year 1999. The Institute is run by a team of dedicated and devoted able administrators with vast experience in the technical field.
Sister Concern Institutions
Avanthi Group of Institutions with Junior, Degree, PG & Engineering Colleges is the sister concern of Mother Theressa Educational Society. The Management has a sound backing in the field of higher education with well conceived academic policies and teaching expertise. Several thousands of students have been trained over the decade under the able guidance of the professional management members. The institutions have the distinction of producing above 90% results every year right from the inception and are the fore runners in imparting conceptualized menthology of teaching. With this background in the educational stream the management has started St. Theressa Institute of Engineering and Technology with due respect and homage to Late Mother Theressa.
Location
The permanent accommodation is located in a sprawling area of 26 acres with a built-up area of 80,000 sft at Garividi, Cheepurupally (subdistrict), Vizianagaram Dist which has an easy access from every part of the State. The campus is well connected with rail and road, close to the national highway near the Chennai - Howrah tracks. It is 20kms away from Vizianagaram and about 60kms from Vizag proper.

The college offers the following courses for the 4 year BTech Degree approved by AICTE and Government of AP and affiliated to JNTU, Kakinada. Allotment of candidates will be made by Convener EAMCET through counselling. In pursuance of the Order of Supreme Court and the Government of Andhra Pradesh the institute also admits under Management Category.
