Reservation: SC: 15%; ST: 7.5%; PD: 3% and OBC: 18% (Under Staggered Implementation Plan) Paid Seats: 10 (MBA 05 & MIBA 05).
Supernumerary Seats: Foreign Nationals: 15% (For details contact International Student Centre, Banaras Hindu University). 'The total intake and distribution of seats under different category may vary as per the directives of the competent authority.
Who Can Apply: Candidates should have a bachelor degree under 10+2+3 pattern/ a degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or law/ a post graduate degree in any discipline under 10+2+3 pattern with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from any University/Institution recognized by AIU/ AICTE.

For SC/ST candidates, 45% marks is required. (Candidates should also fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements for appearing in CAT 2008) Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination can also apply provided they furnish the proof of having met the minimum eligibility criteria by October 05, 2009 after completing all the requirements for obtaining the qualifying degree before June 30, 2009.

How to Apply:
Step 1:
Candidates seeking admission to FMS-BHU will be required to purchase CAT 2008 (conducted by IIMs) Bulletin available from July 14 to August 13, 2008 and appear in CAT 2008 on SUNDAY, November 16, 2008.
Completed CAT Application forms should be directly sent to the concerned IIMs on or before September 05,2008 (for details see CAT 2008 Notification).
Selection will be made strictly on the basis of the combined Merit acquired by a Candidate in CAT 2008, Group Discussion and interview.
The FMS, BHU uses CAT for short-listing the candidates for its two-year full time Post-Graduate Programmes in Management.
IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the program.
Step 2:
Candidates are also required to register at FMS, BHU through separate application form which has to be obtained from Faculty of Management Studies, BHU, Varanasi from July 18, 2008 either in person against crossed SBI Bank Draft (MICR) /Banker's Cheque of Rs. 850/- (Rs. 550/- for SC/ST) till November 24,2008 OR by post through a requisition along with Crossed SBI Bank Draft (MICR) of Rs.900/- (Rs.600/- for SC/ST) and self-addressed envelope of 32x26 cm. till November 1, 2008 OR may be downloaded from the website: of BHU http://www.winentrance.com/winwin.asp?collegeid=www.bhu.ac.in/fms/
The downloaded application form must be submitted along with demand draft of Rs. 850/- (Rs.550/- for SC/ST Category). The Bank Draft / Banker's Cheque should be drawn in favour of the Registrar, Banaras Hindu University payable at SBI, BHU Main Branch (Code 0211).

Few regular PG level courses may be introduced at two affiliated colleges of the University (DAV Degree College and Arya Mahila Degree College, Varanasi.
Admission to the Under Graduate & Post Graduate courses will be made through Under Graduate and Post Graduate Entrance Tests (UET/PET), However, there will be no entrance test for speical courses of study (Diploma and Certificate Courses) except departmental test, if any.
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.
The University reserves the right not to run a course, Reservations as per Govt, of India rules.
Information Bulletin Plus Application Form can be obtained from the Entrance Test Cell, Office Of The Controller Of Examinations, BHU, Varanasi-221005, either on cash payment of Rs.50/- (Fifty) only, from 11.00 AM to 3.00 PM on working days OR by registered post by sending a written request mentioning name of the course i.e. Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Special Courses of Study (Diploma and Certificate), postal address along with:
A crossed MICR Demand Draft/Bankers Cheque issued by any Nationalized/Scheduled Bank for Rs.100/- (One Hundred) only in favour of the Controller Of Examinations, Banaras Hindu University, payable at Varanasi, indicating name of candidate and course name on its reverse
A self-addressed unstamped envelope of the size 32cmx26cm.
The UET/PET/Special Courses of Study (Diploma & Certificate) Information Bulletin Plus Application Form will also be available on cash payment at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus Barkachha, Mirzapur and some other designated offices of the University.
