Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) Admission 2008

Admission 2008-2009
IRMA is a premier academic institution offering unique postgraduate and doctoral Programs for students of any discipline with the purpose of empowering them with development perspectives and business acumen.

30th Postgraduate Program in Rural Management (PRM 2008 – 11)
PRM is a two-year residential postgraduate Program comprising four different segments - classroom, fieldwork, organisational understanding and management training.
PRM is recognised as an equivalent to Master's Degree by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Eligibility: Graduates in any discipline with 50% (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD) aggregate marks or equivalent GPA. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
Final year students fulfilling the eligibility by June 8, 2009, may also apply.
Fees and Scholarships: Costs for students are kept low through cross subsidisation. Further, several prestigious scholarships are available for deserving candidates.
Campus Placement: IRMAns are highly valued by national and international development organisations, funding agencies, co-operatives and NGOs. The placements combine job satisfaction and decent compensation. PRM 2006-08 participants received an average annual salary of Rs.6.13 lakh (highest being Rs.10.61 lakh) with 100% placement.
8th Fellow Program in Rural Management (FPRM 2009)
FPRM is a coursework based doctoral Program with a residency requirement of minimum 3 years, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Eight fields of specialisation are available.
Eligibility: Postgraduate in any discipline or 4-year/5-year professional graduation degree. For specific details, refer to prospectus & website.
Fellowship: Every FPRM participant receives a fellowship of Rs.10,000/- per month and a contingency grant of Rs.20,000/-per year for a period of 4 years.
Placement: Graduating fellows have joined faculty positions in JIMs, XLRI and TERI University.
Selection Procedure: A written test, common for) PRM and FPRM will be conducted on November 9, 2008 (Sunday: 9.15 am - 12.15 pm) at 27 centres across India. PRM participants are selected on the basis of the written test, group discussion and interview.
FPRM participants are selected on the basis of the written test, interview and presentation of research proposal. Candidates with PRM qualification from IRMA applying for FPRM are exempted from the written test.

How To Apply: One of the following:
Printed application material (prospectus, application forms etc.) may be obtained from Admissions Coordinator, IRMA, Anand - 388001 on payment of Rs.100/-, and an examination fee of Rs.750/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST/PwD) with the filled-in application form,
Application material is available with IMS learning centres on cash payment of full fee i.e. Rs.850/ (Rs 600/- for SC/ST/PwD).
Fill in the application form online through IRMA website, print it out, and send it to IRMA along with the full fee of Rs.850/ (Rs.600/- for SC/ST/PwD).
Download the application form from IRMA website and submit along with the full fee of Rs.850 (Rs.600/- for SC/ST/PwD). Payments to IRMA should be in the form of DD favouring 'Institute of Rural Management' payable at Anand. Completed applications should be sent to:
