The Institute Indian School of Mines University (ISMU), established in 1926, is a premier institution of international repute.
After successfully offering M.Tech. degree in Industrial Engineering and Management since 1977, ISMU has launched its AICTE approved MBA program under the Department of Management Studies in 1997.
The Department has been constantly rated as one of the leading business schools of the country by agencies of repute like AIMA-BS Survey, Business India, and The Telegraph etc.Our placement record has been impressive since the inception of the department.
Eligibility
A Bachelor's degree after (10+2) in any discipline from a recognized institution, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate (45% marks or equivalent CGPA for candidates belonging to SC/STtor persons with Disability Category).
For Honours graduates the aggregate will include marks of both Honours and Pass Papers. Candidates appearing for the final bachelor's degree/ equivalent qualification examination can also apply, provided on their selection to the program, they submit their mark sheets and certificates latest by December 31,2009.
Selection:
Applicant shall have to appear Common Admission Test (CAT) to be conducted by IIMs on November 16, 2008. Candidates short-listed on the basis of CAT score will be called for Group Discussion and Interview for final selection.
The sanctioned strength for the MBA Program is 40 and the reservation policy of Government of India meant for higher educational institutions is strictly adhered to.
A selected candidate who fails to take admission by the last date may loose his/her claim. On the last date of admission, after 12 Noon, the seats may be offered on merit basis to wait listed candidates.
Note
Our institute uses CAT score for short-listing candidates for our two year full time program in Management. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the program.
Application for Admission
The CAT application form and bulletin can be obtained during July 14 to August 13, 2008. Candidates are requested to consult the recent advertisement for CAT-2008 issued by IIMs.
Request for ISM application form and brochure should be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs.1250/- (One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty only) drawn in favour of Registrar, Indian School of Mines University, payable at Dhanbad with two self addressed stickers and should be addressed to the Assistant Registrar (Academic), Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad.
The candidates may also download the application form from our website http://www.winentrance.com/winwin.asp?collegeid=http://www.ismdhanbad.ac.in and submit the filled in forms enclosing a Demand draft of Rs.1,250.
Application Form and brochure will be available at ISMU, Dhanbad from September 22 to November 28,2008.
