The Second Counselling will commence from rank one onwards for all categories/ programmes and the seats will be allotted strictly on the basis of merit of the candidates. The candidates absent in the First Counselling will also be permitted to attend the Second Counselling.
A candidate who fails to appear in person on the notified date and time for counselling, shall forfeit his/ her claim for the seat which could be offered to him/ her, had he/ she been present on his/ her turn. However, if the candidate reports late or reports on subsequent days during the process of counselling, he/ she may be considered for allotment of a seat available at that point of time provided he/ she had not taken admission earlier.
Candidates who got admission during First Counselling are also advised to attend Second Counselling if they wish to change the programme/ institute on the basis of merit against the available vacant seat, after depositing an additional sum of Rs.5000 in the form of a fresh Demand Draft in favour of 'Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University', payable at Delhi.

PG Medical Courses: Counselling 2008 – 2009
In pursuance of the orders of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India dated 18th July, 2008, in the Interim Applications filed in the Civil Writ Petition No. 157/2005, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) will hold the counselling for filling up of Postgraduate Medical seats in the Postgraduate Medical Institute of Safdarjung Hospital and the Postgraduate Medical Institute of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital as per the details given below:-
Counselling for seven vacant PG Medical seats in Postgraduate Medical Institute of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, surrendered to state quota from all India quota, will be held at 3 pm onwards on 28th July, 2008 in Seminar Hall of University School of Management Studies, GGSIPU, Kashmere Gate, Delhi-110403. These seats will be filled from the waitlisted candidates,
Counselling for 33 increased seats on account of implementation of OBC reservation in PG Medical Institute of Safdarjung Hospital will be held on 29th July, 2008 at 10 am onwards, at the same venue. All qualified candidates from rank 1 onwards will be eligible to participate in this counselling.
Note:- 200 point reservation roster will be applicable in both the counsellings.
