Bachelor's Degree. There is no age limit; it is open for any graduate of any recognized University. Those who have appeared for the final year degree exam and are awaiting results, may also apply

The issue of form and handbook has already started. Cost of the form and handbook is Rs.1000/-.
The filled-in form may be submitted on or before 30th June without late fee and 31st August with late fee of Rs.200.

NLSIU BA LLB & LLM Program
Invites applications for admission to its BA LLB (Honours) and LLM programs.
About LLM It is a two-year post-graduate degree programme with four semesters. Areas of specialisation:

Admission Procedure
Admission to the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Degree Program is made purely on the merit as assessed through an Admission Test conducted for the purpose by the Admission Committee, appointed by the Director.
The test will carry a maximum of 200 marks. If more than one candidate gets the same rank in the merit list, the order of priority for the selection of the candidate against the available vacancies will be strictly based on the percentage of marks obtained at the qualifying examination.
Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in the year of admission shall also be permitted to take the Admission Test, but their admission to the course shall be subject to fulfilling the conditions stipulated in the Regulations at the time of admission and production of documentary evidence of their eligibility.
All admissions shall be completed before 30th June of every year.
Eligibility for Admission
A candidate for admission to the Degree Course shall have:
1. passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) system or an equivalent examination thereto securing in the aggregate not less than 50% of the total marks in all the core subjects and English language put together ; and
2. not completed 20 years of age as on 1st July of the year of admission. Provided in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, the maximum age limit shall be 22 years as on 1st July of the year of admission.
Application for Admission Test
Admission to the first year B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) shall be on the basis of an All India Admission Test to be conducted each year on the first Sunday of May at such centers as the Admission Committee may decide.
The Test ordinarily will be of 2 hours' duration mainly with objective type of short answer questions of a standard expected of 10+2 students.
Application for Admission Test, when called for, shall be obtained from the Registrar, National Law School of India University, Nagarbhavi, Bangalore - 560 072, by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) drawn on the State Bank of India or any other Nationalized bank payable to the NLSIU at Bangalore.
The filled in application for the Admission Test shall be returned to the Registrar, NLSIU on or before the last date as notified.
Intake and Reservations
Scheduled Caste: 15%
Scheduled Tribe: 7.5%
Foreign Nationals: 5 seats (SAARC and other Developing Countries)
Admission for Foreign Nationals
The Admission of Foreign nationals, however, shall be made based on satisfying the prescribed academic qualification and on a review of the academic and co-curricular accomplishments as assessed by the Admission Committee, preference being given to candidates from developing countries.
They are exempted from taking the admission test.
The candidate must have studied English language as one of the compulsory subjects in 10+2 or equivalent Higher Secondary School Examination. The Admissions Committee may organize an English language competence test.

Admission for Distance Education Courses
The National law School of India University, Bangalore, a premier Law University in India, invites applications for admission to the following courses under Distance Education Programme for the Academic Year 2008-2009:

Application form will be issued from 10th May, 2008.
Last date for receipt of duly filled in application is 30th June 2008 and 31st August 2008 (with late fee of Rs. 500/-)
