Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission :: Sale of Application Form Centers
Applications are invited for the unified single window admission for first year B. E. / B. Tech. Degree Programme 2008 to the University Departments of Anna Universities, Government and Government Aided Engineering Colleges and for the seats surrendered by the Self – Financing Engineering Colleges.
TNEA 2008 Application Form:
1. In Person:Candidates can obtain the application form in person from the centres detailed below by paying Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- in case of SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) towards registration fee, by cash/demand draft.
2. By Post:
Application forms can also be obtained by post from,
The Secretary,Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA),Anna University Chennai,Chennai - 600 025.

By sending a letter of requisition along with a Demand Draft for Rs.650/- (Rs.400/- in case of SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) and an address label written in capital letters to which the application is to be mailed.
3. Through Website
The candidates can also register through internet by logging on to http://www.winentrance.com/winwin.asp?collegeid=www.annuniv.edu/tnea2008. After entering the required information in the application form, press the submit button, then take a printout, affix a photograph and affix the signature at the appropriate spaces provided. The printout application along with the registration fee in the form of a D.D. only (SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu have to enclose an attested xerox copy of Community Certificate also) should be sent along with all the enclosures by speed / registered post to the address given below.
4. Special Reservations
Candidates seeking admission under Special reservation category should enclose separate special reservation application along with main application together with DD for Rs.100/- for each special reservations with an attested xerox copies of relevant document. The applications under Sports Quota should be submitted along with all documents only in person.

5. Submission of filled in applications Candidates have to send the filled in application along with an attested xerox copies of Mark Sheet(s) and an attested xerox copies of all other relevant certificates on or before 26.05.2008 (5.30 p.m.) to,

All Demand Drafts should be drawn in favour of “The Director, Admissions, Anna University Chennai” payable at Chennai, drawn on any Nationalised / Scheduled bank dated on or after 09.05.2008. Candidates are instructed to write name and address on the reverse side of the Demand Draft.
SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu who wants to avail registration fee concession (Rs.250/-) in Person or by Post should produce xerox copy of the permanent community certificate obtained from competent authority.

TNEA 2008 Important Dates:
1. Commencement of issue of applications : 10.05.2008.
2. Last date for submission: 26.05.2008 (5.30 p.m.)
Minimum Eligibility:
A. Candidates of HSC (Academic) and Other Equivalent Examinations:
(i) For Communities Other than BC / BC (Christians) / BC (Muslims) / MBC & DNC/ SC / ST – Other Communities: A minimum average of 55.00% and above in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(ii) For BC / BC (Christians) / BC (Muslims) Communities: A minimum average of 50.00% and above in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(iii) For MBC & DNC Communities: A minimum average of 45.00% and above in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
(iv) For SC/ST a mere pass in the qualifying Examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
B. Candidates of HSC (Vocational)
(i) For Communities other than BC/ / BC (Christians) / BC (Muslims) /MBC & DNC/ SC/ST – Other Communities: A minimum average of 55.00% and above in the related subjects, Vocational theory Subject and practicals.
(ii) For BC, BC (Christians) / BC (Muslims) Communities A minimum average of 50.00% and above in the related subjects, Vocational theory Subject and practicals.
(iii) For MBC & DNC Communities: A minimum average of 45.00% and above in the related subjects, Vocational theory Subject and practicals.
(iv) For SC/ST a mere pass in the qualifying Examination with the Vocational subjects prescribed and Mathematics / Physics / Chemistry.
Note: When the candidates produce grade certificates, they have to produce actual marks also otherwise only the minimum marks applicable to the grades in the eligible subjects (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) will be taken into account.
Improvement marks will not be considered including for other state candidates.

Admissions to B. Arch. Degree Courses 2008 – 2009
Applications are invited for admission to 5 Year (10 Sem.) B. Arch. Degree Program offered at University Department of Anna University Chennai, Government Aided Institution (Self-Supporting Programme) and the seats surrendered by the Self Financing Engineering Colleges for the academic year 2008 - 2009.
Application Forms:
In Person: Application forms can be had in person from 04.07.2008 at the Examination Centre, Anna University Chennai, Chennai - 600 025 on payment of cash / Demand Draft for Rs.500/- for General category and Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on production of xerox copy of Permanent Community Certificate.
Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of
