About us:

The VIJAYANAGAR ENGINEERING COLLEGE (VEC ) was established in 1980, under the aegis of the Veersaiva Vidyavardhaka Sangha,Bellary, Karnataka( 300 KM from Bangalore). The college is affiliated to the Visveswaraiah Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and approved by the All India council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

Eligibility : Graduate Degree Course in Engineering (B.E.)
Candidates seeking admission to the B.E. Degree course should have passed either one of the following examinations with English as one of the languages and a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Two Year Pre University Course examinations conducted by the Karnataka State Pre University Board.
Two year Intermediate examinations conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Board or any other equivalent examinations thereto.
Candidates who have completed Diploma with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks are also eligible for admission to the Course.
In case of SC/ST students, the minimum percentage of marks for admission is relaxed by 10%.

Post Graduate Degree Course in Computer Application (M.C.A)

Candidates seeking admission to the M.C.A. Degree Course should have one of the following qualifications with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Programming / Computer Science / Computer Application as one of the subjects at the 10+2 or the Degree Level.
Passed any examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.

In case of SC/ST Students, the minimum percentage of marks for admission is relaxed by 5%.
