Each department accepts 60 students per branch per academic year (In the Indian educational system, students start college every year, not every semester).[citation needed]The Civil Engineering Department has lessened intake to 30 from the 2007-08 session onwards.
Besides the Engineering College located at Navalnagar, the institute also has a Diploma college located at Bhokarwadi in Proper Dhule city.

The main college building is a "c" shaped building harbouring the Departments od E&TC, Civil, Production, Mechanical and Computers. The principals office and the administrative sections are located in the new building, that was commissioned in 1998 and finished in 2003. The college campus also has a workshop primarily used by the department of Production and Mechanical. Further away from the college are located the applied sciences Laboratories for physics and chemistry.

The institute also provides hostel facilities for outstation students. The Men's hostel is located is located within the campus while the Ladies hostels are located in the Jaihind Area of Dhule.Men's Hostel The campus boasts of 3 hostels viz. Hostel number 1, 2 and 3. Hostel number 2 has been traditionally occupied by the freshers during the first two semesters. Its has 2 floors including the ground floor and has 23 rooms on each floor and each room is provided to students on double occupancy basis. Hostel number 1 is the oldest building of the 3 hostels and has 3 floors including the ground floor. Each floor has 9 rooms and each room is provided to students on double occupancy basis. Hostel number 3 is the last and the newest of the hostels to be commissioned in 1996. It has 10 rooms. All hostels and washroom facilities are maintained in a "not-so-descent" state, although the management has decided to re-furbish hostel number 1 in the current year, 2008. The college has 1 mess, adjoining hostel number 1. The mess(canteen) serves as a place for meals for students in the hostel. A cafeteria for refreshments is also located next to hostel number 3. In the past various private contractors who tried their hand to convert this into a full time mess, thus creating some competition for the original mess. To cater to students studying at night, the college also boasts of a 'Night Joint' popularly known as "Kailash Ki Tapri" , which in the past was known to sell tea, omelettes other eatables and also ghutkas and cigarettes. The current status about this joint is unknown[citation needed].
The Ladies hostels are located in Jaihin area of Dhule. The hostels are the houses of the chairman[citation needed]. The hostels are popularly known as 16, 72 and 96, as a nomenclature based on the house numbers[citation needed]

[edit] Annually Organized Activities
The week long activities held on the college's annual day are collectively called Radiance. Radiance includes sports competitions amongst students and teachers, which include Table Tennis, Carrom, Football, Cricket, Kabaddi, and Volley Ball. Group activities like debates, quizzes and Song and dance competitions are also held. The end of this series of events is marked by a Cultural Nite, offering a taste of the variegated forms of Indian and Western stage arts, including traditional and western dance and drama forms.
These activities have historically been planned, organized and executed by the student body, with very little, or no logistical or financial support from the administration.
SES College won the 1st prize in the inter-college cultural programme in Dhule - "Spandhan" for 4 consecutive years, between years 1996 and 2000. The also college "claims" presence of a gymnasium, a shooting/rifle club as well a flying club.[citation needed]

The college campus is located off the road that connects Dhule and Amalner.
The surrounding area is mostly arid with some farmland.
The college campus is located approximately 1 km (0.6 miles) from the nearest village of Navalnagar.
Connectivity to the nearest town, Dhule at 15 km, is provided by Maharashtra State Transport, ST Buses, and also by local private transport in the form of Six seater 3 wheelers also known as "Dukkars" in the local language. Local transport other than ST buses are invariable overcrowded at all times, with operators commonly breaking transport laws by seating many more passengers than allowed by law.

Dhule has a predominantly warm, dry, arid climate, with little moisture and humidity. Rainfall patterns have been unpredictable over the years, and shortage of water here has been a common problem.[citation needed] The summers are hot with very little humidity. Winter is cool, with some heat during the day, and a cool night.
