Sindhudurg Shikshan Prasarak Mandal (SSPM) Engineering College, Sindhudurg

Sindhudurg Shikshan Prasarak Mandal (SSPM) started its Engineering College on 10th July 1999, under the steward of hon'ble Ex- Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri. Narayan Rane, to provide quality teaching and quality professional education. The college is located at Harkul Budruk, Taluka Kankavali on Kankavali Nardave Road and in the spread of 32 acres of land near the NH- 17 (Mumbai - Goa Road) passing through Kankavali city. The college building is 2.5 kms away from kankavli railway station of Konkan Railways and 4 km away from MSRTC Bus depot Kankavli.
Courses Offered:The college offers the following BE Degree courses for 4 years duration of University of Mumbai. With sanctioned intake capacity as indicated below:
1) Computer Engineering : 60 seats2) Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering : 120 seats 3) Electrical Engineering : 60 seats
The above courses and their intake capacities are approved by AICTE vide letter no. F. No 742-1-6(MS )/ET/99 Dated 25/8/99 by the Government of Maharashtra vide -GR NO. PEC2099/53458(269/99)/ dated 1/7/99.


Admission Eligibility
a) Maharashtra State candidates (CET Basis):
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks i.e. 150marks out of 300 marks (minimum 45% marks i.e. 135 marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra state only) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.
AND
Obtained non zero score in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at MHT-CET.
b) Maharashtra State candidates (XII th basis):
Candidate should be an India National and should have passed the HSC (Std XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks i.e. 150 marks out of 300 marks (minimum 45% marks i.e.135marks out of 300 marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories belonging to Maharashtra state only) in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.
c) Maharashtra State candidates passing Diploma in Engineering/Technology Course:
Diploma holders who have passed the diploma course in Engineering/Technology with minimum of 50% marks and medium of instruction as English from the Polytechnics affiliated to MSBTE or its equivalent / AICTE approved autonomous Polytechnics situated in or outside the Maharashtra State.
d) Outside Maharashtra State candidates (CET basis):
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks i.e.150 marks out of 300 marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.
AND
Obtained non zero score in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at MHT-CET.
e) Outside Maharashtra State candidates (XIIth basis):
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and secured minimum 50% marks i.e.150 marks out of 300 marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics added together.To resolve a tie i.e. more than one candidate securing equal aggregate marks in HSC (Std XII) examination following order of preference shall be adopted; Marks obtained in Mathematics at HSC, Marks obtained in Physics at HSC, Grand total of marks obtained at HSC, Marks obtained in Mathematics at SSC, Grand Total of marks obtained at SSC.
f) Outside Maharashtra State candidate passing Diploma in Engineering/Technology Course:
Diploma holders who have passed the diploma course in Engineering / Technology with minimum of 50% marks and medium of instruction as English from the AICTE approved Polytechnics situated in or outside the Maharashtra State.To resolve a tie i.e. more than one candidate securing equal aggrgate marks in Final year of the Diploma exam, following order of preference shall be adopted; Marks obtained in Mathematics at SSC, Grand total of Marks obtained at SSC.
Direct Admission to Second Year
Eligibility:
Educational QualificationThe candidates should have passed in first class / first class with condonation post SSC or post HSC diploma course in Engineering / Technology of the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE)OROf any other recognized diploma equivalent to the diploma awarded by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) with English as the medium of instruction at diploma level ORof Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere (BATU)ORof Smt. Nathibai Damodar Thakarsi Women's Univeristy (SNDT) MumbaiORof any other AICTE approved institution, which has been granted academic autonomy by the Government of Maharashtra or University in the State of Maharashtra.
