Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women
Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women (Formerly ISS College of Information Technology and Engineering for Women) was established in 1997 and has been sponsored by Sangam Laxmibai Vidyapeet (SLV) headed by Dr Ramlakshmi, a physician and administrator is the Correspondent of the College. The SLV is a registered voluntary social action group working for empowerment of women and girls through education since 1952.
The Engineering College is managed by an executive committee consisting of persons with long experience in the field of education.
The college campus is located in a clean atmosphere with a lot of open space and greenery with landscape gardens spread over an area of 6.34 acres. There is plenty of breeze and the campus is free from noise, dust and other pollutions even though it is located in the central part of the city.
Within a short period of eight years, the college has emerged as one of the premier engineering colleges in the state. The college is offering the following B Tech courses with intake shown against each :

Department of Computer Science and Engineering
The department is headed by the Professor Ravinder G. Reddy who obtained his BE (Mech), MS (CSE) from New jersey Institute of Technology, He has more than 15 years software industry experience. He is assisted with 17 teaching staff:
The Computer Lab-1
This lab has 66 systems (P-IV) configuration connected with server based on Zeon processor of 1.8 Ghz loaded with Windows NT and Linux Software
The Computer Lab-II
This lab is exclusively used for internet, has 32 systems (P-III Compaq) connected with two servers (P-III compaq), one server loaded with proxy software. The lab is connected with a dedicated leased line of 128 KBPS connected through BSNL (Internet Service Provider). Unlimited free access of the internet facility is given to all the students and staff.
The Computer Lab-III
This lab has 64 systems(P-III configuration) connected with three servers (P-III configuration) loaded with Windows Advanced Server-2000, Linux/Windows-98 and SCO-Unix.
Department of Information Technology
The department is established during the year 2000-01 with a special emphasis on emerging areas of information technology required by the industry. The department is headed by Dr. Rekha , an MCA and MTech from JNTU and Ph D (CS) from University of Udine, Italy. She has more than 15 Years experience in teaching and research. She has participated and presented research papers at international conferences and workshops in different countries and published 5 Papers in international journals.

Department of Chemical Engineering
Professor J. Narayan Reddy, Head of the Department, obtained his M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Bombay. He has more than 20 years of teaching and industrial experience. His area of interest includes reaction engineering, heat and mass transfer etc. Besides, he is known for his keen interest in preparing the students to appear for GATE exams. The department has 1 Professor, 1 associate professor and 7 asst professors with 6 technical supporting staff.
The department has fully developed labs such as Chemical technology lab, fluid mechanics lab, heat transfer lab, mechanical unit operations lab, chemical reaction engineering lab,mass transfer operations lab. Under the suspices of the department, a 1-day national workshop on 'Entrepreneurship Awarness for Women' was organized in March 2001 in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh Industrial and Technical Consultancy Organization Ltd (APITCO). The department also organized a 2-day national workshop on "Recent Advances in Reaction Engineering" In Feburary 2003
Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering
The Department is headed by Prof Gopal Manii, who obtained his B Tech from JNTU and ME from Osmania University. He has more than 30 years of teaching and research experience in the area of Electronic Devices and Circuits, Pulse & Digital Circuits, Microprocessor/Microcontrollers & Applications etc. He has experience in Design & Development of Test & Measuring Instruments, Design & Production of Process Control Systems, etc. He also conducted VHF Data link of Future Air Navigation System Trials in our country, & Incharge for Defence 'EWP' project. The department has got 2 associate professors and 18 asst. professors with 8 technical supporting staff members. The faculty has well teaching expertise in various specialized fields such as VLSI Design, Communications, Digital systems and signal processing.
The department, besides having all well-developed labs as required by JNTU, has very specialized labs in the areas of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) with software of MATLAB (ver 7.04), Electronics Computer Aided Design (ECAD) with software PSPICE, MS Windows & OS and VLSI lab having VHDL modelling and Synthesis (Innoveda-VIEW LOGIC ) and MATLAB Software The VLSI lab with one P-III high speed server (866 MHZ) and with 6 nodes has been established having facility of TANNER TOOLS software for a mixed mode signal design. Advanced Microprocessor Lab has been established with 20 P-III computers working at 1.5 MHz clock speed for developing assembly language programs. C Cross Compiler with two licenses have been produced and 30 kits of 8051 microcontroller kits with MASM software are available in the laboratory

Department of MBA
About the Department
In MBA course started in year 2006. The first batch is out and students are placed well. Second batch is in third semester. The department is headed by Prof. Vijetha.
NewsDeskThe department successfully completed MBA IV Semester students Viva-voce examinations. The panel included eminent professors from Osmania University, JNTU and Dr. B R Ambedkar Open University. The HOD convened a meeting in the department and congratulated the faculty for successful completion of Viva-voce examinations.

Department of Computer Applications was started in the year 2006 with an annual intake of 60 students. The depatment offers a 3 years masters programe in Computer Applications.
