Established in 1980, Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) is the dream child of an inspired group of eminent intellectuals and industrialists of Andhra Pradesh, India, led by popular parliamentarian Dr. M V V S Murthi, M.A., B.L., Ph. D. to set up a world class centre of learning in technology, management and medicine in the picturesque port city of Visakhapatnam. GAT UGS / PGS 2009 COUNSELING SCHEDULELIST OF STUDENTS WHO CAN DIRECTLY APPEAR FOR COUNSELING
I. Admission into the following programmes will be made on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination. Counseling for admissions will be held at 9:30 am on 28th May 2009 at Mother Teresa Auditorium, GITAM UNIVERSITY CAMPUS, RUSHIKONDA, VISAKHAPATNAM - 45Candidates who have applied for the below five test codes can directly appear for counseling
Candidates are required to bring the following certificates in original along with two sets of Xerox copies and three pass port and two stamp size photographs at the time ot counseling/admissions:
1. X Class / SSC pass certificate2. 10 +2 / Intermediate pass certificate3. All Marks statements of qualifying examination4. Original degree/provisional certificate of qualifying examination5. Transfer Certificate6. Migration Certificate7. Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST/PH
Candidates are required to pay the prescribed fee at the time of counseling if they are admitted into the concerned programme(s) as mentioned below:

GAT-PGS 2009 test for the above programmes will be held at the following test centres:
Hyderabad, Rajahmundry, Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneswar.
Candidates who have opted for test centres other than the above will have to appear for the tests as mentioned in their respective Admit Card.
The counseling for the above programmes will be held at 9.30 a.m. on 28th May 2009 at Mother Teresa Auditoirum, GITAM University Campus, Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam-45.
