The College was established in 1998 in the temperory location at Karunapuram, Peddapendial.
The Institute moved to its permanent location at Colombonagar, Jangaon in September, 2000.

Admissions
Being a Christian Minority Institution,priority is given to the Christian minority candidates. Vacant seats, if any, will be given to non-minority applicants.
As per rules in vogue 75% of seats to minority candidates,25% to the management NRI and 10% to ECET candidates(into Second year) are earmarked.

Transfer Certificate
Non minority students are supposed to submit the certificates as required for the Government Counscelling.There is no reservation for the non minority students.NRI students are supposed to have a minimum of 60% of marks in their Intermediate or equivalent and preferably he/she should clear their subjects in one sitting only.
Allocation Of Seats:
In non-minority Counselling, first 15% of seats are open for Local and Non-Local Candidates.
Rest of the seats are for the preferably Local Candidates.
The Admission committee is the final authority to ascertain the validity of religion certificate.
Selected candidates should pay the full fee as prescibed by the state Govt.for the first year immediately in the form of a D.D. in favour of Christu Jyoti Institute Of Technology & Science payable at Jangaon.
Fees once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
If any Student desires to discontinue from the college He/She should pay the full fee for the remaining years of the course failing which the original certificates will not be returned.
Other Government Orders in vouge on Technical Education (Local & NonLocal,Eligibility Criterion, fee) will be folowed.
Department of CSE
CJITS has been offering computer science £ Engineering course with intake of 120 students the department has grown substantially since last years. We have well qualified and dedicated staff to lead the students to achieve academic excellence, Apart from this the main aim of department is to bring out graduates to cope with outside World.
Our Department is well equipment with the required infrastructure as per the AICTE norms. The eight computer Laboratories that we have well-equipped with the required infrastructure which is needed for the future IT Professionals.
A Separate high end Lab takes care of the needs of students doing Project Works. A Large number of students are taking up projects in Collaboration with the industries, which would keep them abreast of the latest developments in the field.
We have 280 Systems with high Configuration in eight Labs; we have two Hardware professionals to maintain these Labs.

The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 2000 with an intake of 40 students which was later increased to 60 in the year 2001. Information Technology is a fast growing discipline and is full of rigorous practical analysis.The department has well equipped laboratories and logical reasoning is stressed in all practical applications. With highly talented faculty, the department boasts of a unique mode of learning, one that uses advanced aids for teaching.

The Department of Electronics and Communication had been functioning since the inception of the institute in the year 1998. The total student intake of the department is presently 120. The department has being produced highly professional and competitive engineers by infusing greater quality and content into the curriculum and educating the students with appropriate skills suitable for a rapid changing industrial scenario.
Iam proud to say that our department is blessed with highly qualified skilled, dedicated and experienced faculty & supporting staff.
The faculty members are being nominated as incharges for various classes and laboratories of department.
Student feedback is obtained every semester and the faculty is informed about the performance for rectification of deficiencies and improvements.

The department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering had been functioning since the inception of the institute in the year 1998. The total student strength of this department is presently 240. Iam happy to state that our department has qualified faculty and supporting staff with good skill and experience. The students are given freedom to express their views in matters pertaining to various theoretical and practical aspects of their study.
Department Of Mech.
The Mechanical Engineering Department started functioning in the year 1998 with an intake of 60 students. The department is blessed with 12 highly qualified & experienced staff and 8 skilled supporting staff.Most of the faculty have started career advancement programme to pursue Ph.D. in reputed Universities i.,e. NITs, JNTU OU etc.

DEPARTMENT OF HUMANITIES AND SCIENCESThe Humanities and Sciences Department comprises Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Management Studies and Environmental Studies.The standing and the firmness of a structure is decided by the strength of foundation laid. Similarly the applied and engineering sciences derive strength from basic sciences and their growth is decided by input given by basic sciences.Our Department is proud to have two doctorates and the other staff members are also involved in research programmes. It also consists of two laboratories, Engineering Physics laboratory and English language laboratory.The English language laboratory aims at training the students for various competitive exams such as GRE, TOFEL, GMAT etc., and also in group discussion, which is very much helpful during the interviews. Audio - visual aids & special software are being used to improve the communication skills of the students.
Presently, the 'Nano-Technology' has its wide applications. This Nano-Technology enables us to design the simple circuits rather than messedup complicated circuits. These are even made with ease of portability presently in the technical institutions. These are bought into the light and this is taught to the students. From those VLSI Circuits the technology rapidly shortened or simplify to this Nano-Technology.With collective efforts of all my colleagues, I would dream to make this department a prestigiousone.I congratulate the Souvenir Committee for their sincere efforts in bringing out interesting artivles
