Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology is running under the auspices of Sri Channabasaveshwara Swamy Rural Education Society. The society was established under the chairmanship of Sri G S Basavaraj, the honorable member of parliament from Tumkur with a mission to create centers for excellence in education & other fields and thereby serving the society to enhance the quality of life through excellence and leadership in professionally relevant education.

ADMISSION PROCEDURES
Admission to the college is made in accordance with the prescribed rules of Karnataka Government for all categories of candidates. CET Cell of Govt. of Karnataka makes the Government admission. Other Students are required to apply directly to the Principal of the College for Application.
