Late Dr. M.V. Jayaraman, Founder of Venkatesha Education Society, was the man who became a legend in his own life time, sheerly by his visionary ideals and practical efforts.
Coming from humble means, a scholar and musician, the first institution he founded under the aegis of the Society was the Training Institute for Teachers. This reflected the depth of his conviction that if the teachers are trained rightly, the students get an opportunity to learn better.

The ACADEMIC FEATURES
All courses are of semester scheme (each semester of 16 weeks duration) and of 4 years duration.
Term one is from September to February, while term two is from March to July.
University examinations are at the end of each term every year.

The ADMISSION PROCEDUREAdmissions to the First Year course shall be open to:
Students who have passed:
The two-years' Pre University examination conducted by the Karnataka State Pre-University Board or
Plus-two CBSE with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as optional subjects and English as a subject of study or any other examination recognised by the University as equivalent thereto and with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of the three optional subjects in the second year qualifying examination or at the public examination held at the end of the 12th year.
SC/ST students and any other group classified by the Govt. of Karnataka for such purposes, who have passed that two year PUC examination or equivalent examination with the group of optional subjects and English as above.
B.Sc graduates who have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics or Physics, Mathematics and Electronics or Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science.
Holders of Diploma, in appropriate Branch of Engineering, granted by the Board of Technical Examination in Karnataka or equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the final examination.
